Tami Fleming has been working in organizations that assist people who are experiencing homelessness in Dane County since 2011.

Beginning with starting the Non-Profit Street Outreach organization “Friends of the State Street Family”. After running that for 7 years, she was recruited to start the volunteer program at the Beacon, recruiting and training over 600 volunteers within two years. She then assumed the role of Executive Director for “Shelter from the Storm Ministries,” a transitional shelter for single mothers with children located in Sun Prairie.

After 3 years, she came to Housing Initiatives to become the Director of Client Services in May of 2022, where she works tirelessly to develop and improve the services offered to Housing Initiatives’ clients.
