Dean Krahn (board member) is a retired physician who was a clinician, researcher, teacher, and administrator in addiction and general psychiatry at VA-Madison, UW School of Medicine and Public Health, and other medical schools. In those roles, he learned from experience with patients, colleagues, and students about the opportunities and difficulties in helping people faced with being unhoused and having mental health challenges.

He is honored and thankful to have this opportunity to support the staff and clients in their efforts to improve the housing and health statuses of people served by HII.
