Rebecca Kellum, MD

Medical Doctor

Dr. Rebecca Kellum completed her training in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago in 2006. Since then, she has worked in a variety of settings: as a primary care doctor and as a hospitalist; in rural and urban communities. Health equity and social justice have always been important to her in her practice, which is largely what led to her seeking Addiction Medicine Fellowship training at UW Madison between 2021 and 2023. During her training, she worked in a local methadone clinic and as a primary care provider for the WI Department of Corrections. She is now an addiction specialist at Unity Point Health Meriter and New Start Clinic.  She incorporates the principles of harm reduction into her care for patients, emphasizing the importance of  non-judgemental and non-coercive care in supporting people to improve the quality of their lives.  When not working, she likes to read, canoe, dance Argentine tango, and hang out with her husband and three kids.
