Sara has nearly two decades of experience working with people who have behavioral health issues, in multiple capacities, from outpatient treatment settings, including Medication Assisted Treatment programming,  to providing intensive case management and street outreach.  Sara’s focus is on helping people discover their true sense of self by building a healthy support system and developing a lifestyle which sets the foundation for their success. Sara utilizes a holistic approach to counseling and other services to address each person’s individual needs.
 
In addition to providing clinical services, Sara has extensive experience with developing programming and staffing for organizations which work with vulnerable populations in a trauma-responsive and harm reduction way.

Sara is licensed as a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) and Independent Clinical Supervisor (ICS) by the Department of Safety and Professional Services in Wisconsin. She is also nationally licensed as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).
